Dear Parents/Guardians, Greetings! Welcome back to school !!
1. We are going to start the new Session 2023-24 from Sunday, 23 July 2023 in full swing with high spirits. You are requested to ensure your children are bringing all the copies and stationery accordingly so that class teacher can cooperate to organize them all.
2. Students will be at school by 8:10 am. Assembly will be held at 8.15am everyday and classes will commence from 8.30am. Three days’ late in a month will lead to a warning (verbal/written)
. 3. Haircut, uniform, cleanliness- all will be checked during the assembly. Frequent absences during the assembly will bring negative marking in class performance, SBA and Parent’s meeting will be held to improve the situation. .
4. i. Classes for iPLS (grade 1 and 2) students will be finished at 1.05pm (On Tuesday, Karate class- till 1.45pm). ii. Classes for iPLS/iLS (grade 3 to 7) students will be finished at 1.45pm. Iii. Classes for Pre-IGCSE, IGCSE & A Level will start and finish as per the respective subject schedules.
5. Students must wear school uniforms along with the ID cards. You are requested to collect the form from the DIS information office and submit it by/on 24 July 2023.
6. Students won’t be allowed to wear any casual clothes in school without prior permission taken by parents from the Vice Principal.
7. Students are not allowed to wear any fancy items (bracelet, ornaments, chain, fashionable stuff etc.) in the school. These items will be confiscated and won’t be returned without a parent’s meeting.
8. Students are not allowed to bring any mobiles or electronic devices in school. In emergency cases, parents will call the class teacher and it will be kept in the custody of the information office or class teacher.
9. Students are not allowed to bring any harmful or offensive elements or toys in school. These items will be confiscated and won’t be returned without a parent’s meeting.
10.NTS (non-teaching staff ) will carry the school bags for PG to grade 1 students. Junior (grade 2 to 5 ) , Middle and senior students will carry their own bags.
11.Due Classwork and Homework Policy of DIS: i. Students will stay after school hours till 2.30pm for the due class work/homework. ii. No phone calls will be given for staying extra hours at school. Parents are expected to be informed and updated about the children’s homework completion checklist before sending them to school. iii. Parents must inform the class teachers or the relevant subject teachers before the homework submission day to inform the valid reasons of due homework of tomorrow to avoid the staying of extra hours.
12.School Uniforms for the DIS Students: I. Regular School Uniform- on regular school days Ii. Sports Uniform- on sports/games class’ days as per the routine Iii. Lab apron coat- on lab class’ days
13.Parents should join the term-wise PTM and Result Proclamation Day and collect the feedback or report cards directly from their own conscience.
14.Parents are requested to check school diaries, sign everyday and ensure timely study of their children at home. N.B. Time to Contact/Meet the teachers: 1. For any confusion or queries, parents can meet the class teachers or subject teachers at school premises making an appointment at the information desk. 2. Day & Time : From Sunday to Thursday ( 1.50 pm to 2:30 pm ). Your cooperation is highly expected for ensuring academic excellence at DIS.
