DISUTT - ClassroomActivities

A positive mental attitude is the foundation on which we can grow as humans. At DIS, Uttara we are introducing a habit of self love with our affirmations station.
We believe in the saying : the happiness of our lives depends on the quality of our thoughts.

If you want to see how experiential learning looks like and experience the joy of learning, it is a must to visit DIS. Because amazing things take birth here!
Ms. Shahnara, our senior school coordinator and biology teacher made a model where grade 7 students learned about the blood circulation in the heart through playing, peer teaching, and going through some trial and error. It was completely an aha moment for any educator to see the children trying to connect their learning like this.
Our faculties are doing better every day through research, study, and dedication! We consider ourselves as lifelong learners to be best suited to fulfill the demand of the 21st century!
A big shout out to Ms. Shahnara and thanks to Ms. Chumki for assisting.

What an amazing class! Thanks to our faculty and junior school coordinator Ms. Kamrun Nahar for designing today's lesson in a way where the lesson is engaging, inquiry based and there is differentiated instruction!
The students presented holiday file facts and they made their dreamland.
" I loved the activity because I could tell people how colorful the world is", said Tahan, a 2nd grader.
Hafsa did not want to work in a group as she had her dreamland and she wanted to share that individually! She was so happy because she had her voice and that was valued.

City life becomes so mechanical, young generations love to spend time with gadgets! Whereas, we inspire our students to portray who we are and our culture through different activities. Ice breaking of kite festival of 2nd graders conducted by Ms. Kamrunnahar. Students loved the activity a lot, learning is effective when it is experiential.

LCNC (low cost no cost) resources are around us. We just need to utilize these to make it appropriate and contextual.  That helps our students  to learn recycling and help them to make the magical transformation!
We are so proud of our students as they created  such an amazing respiratory system as their project! They used their creativity and critical thinking to make this project fun and experiential!  What a great way to learn about how our bodies work!
Credit goes to Ms. Ayesha for planning the task for her students.
